12th May Minecraft Coding session

 Students engage in Minecraft for Education at the weekly after school coding club Students answered a short survey on the following: What inspired students to join the code club: Students said they just wanted to learn to code and make games as well as learn building and survival skills through the Minecraft for Education platform.  The project students have been working on: Coding Activities like the Hour of Code Coding with Python Scratch Minecraft Grok Learning Makey Makey What have the students enjoyed the most: Students enjoyed Minecraft the most and Python coding. The students said it was important to code because: It is helpful to find a job and for future opportunities Make things like building a robot (Kiwibots) To make games Coding is everywhere so the jobs we have now may not exist in five years Next year students said they would like to continue to learn Python and Minecraft.
